When rows look identical
Extra spaces, non-breaking spaces, zero-width characters, and letter case often block strict matches. This tool shows the weakest rule needed for each duplicate group instead of silently normalizing everything.

Published method
Selected columns form one composite AND key. Rules run in this order: invisible characters, spaces, case, accents, punctuation, then numeric text. Empty key values stay unique unless you explicitly include them.
The reason shown for a group is the last transformation needed before every copy shares the same key.
Limits
Supports .xlsx, .csv, .tsv, and pasted cells. Up to 500,000 analyzed rows, 200 columns, and 100 MB on desktop or 25 MB on compact devices. Legacy .xls and password-protected files are not supported.
Only the active sheet’s values are exported. Formatting and workbook features are deliberately not reconstructed.
Privacy
File names, sheet names, headers, cell values, and file bytes are not sent to excelduplicateremover.com or a third party. There is no analytics, advertising, upload endpoint, account, or cookie.
After the app assets are cached, disconnect Wi‑Fi and the parser, duplicate review, and exports continue to work.
